Hello out there!

Hello scholars,

I want to hear some summer updates from you all.  I know school and your JUNIOR year of school begins in just a few short weeks.  I have a lot of updates as well.

I just returned from a trip to Switzerland, France and Great Britain.  I absolutely loved being in Paris and London in particular.  I know a lot of you want to visit Paris, so I couldn’t help but think of you all.  If you have a dream, it’s your responsibility to work to make it happen!

Things are getting busy as I get ready to move to Philadelphia for school.  There are a lot of “back to school” preparations that need to happen for serious students.  I hope a lot of you can relate. I want to hear how you are doing.  Leave a comment or email me/text me as some of you have been doing.

Love,

Ms. Lee

Here is a picture of me in a busy part of London.  You can see the famous red double decker buses in the background.

Enjoy!  I’ll try to post again soon.

Hello students,

I hope that you are all enjoying the summer.  I know that a lot of you are doing summer jobs, summer school and of course just spending time relaxing.  Don’t forget to think about different ways that you can get ahead.  If you didn’t know, I posted three mini-lessons on information about college.  If you want, you can try to take the quiz at the end and if you gain mastery, then it will give you an official certificate stating that you completed the lesson.

I also have some news.  I have decided to move to Philadelphia instead of Austin to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Law instead of UT Austin Law.  I’m so excited about this decision for a number of reasons.

I will be closer to D.C. so I can come visit and also UPenn is a great school.  It’s considered in the Ivy League!

So that’s my update for now.  Keep in touch and let others know about the site!

Love,

Ms. Lee

Letter to My Scholars

Here is the letter that you all received the last week of school about the purpose of this Website:

road of life

It’s the end of the road…

And now, it’s up to YOU to apply what you have learned in this class to your life.

I will be moving back to Texas to pursue my own dreams and to work to achieve all that I can in law school at UT Austin.  It’s one of the top 15 law schools in the nation…this is living proof that you can succeed if you work hard and put your mind to it.

I will miss the class of 2011 dearly (I did teach or at least know you all for two years, after all).  And I can honestly say that I will wonder for the rest of MY life, “whatever happelonghornsned to my scholars from Friendship Collegiate?”

So…

Please keep in touch.  I have launched a site just for you at:

http://nocrumpledpaper.wordpress.com

I figured that one thing that you may remember me by is the fact that you were not allowed to crumple paper in our classroom :)

I will be posting pictures, updates and always include valuable information about going to college, how to get paid in scholarships to attend college and more.  Leave me a comment and I’ll give you a shout out or send you a message to keep in touch.  Good luck and I forever have faith that you all will succeed and become kind-hearted people that work to make a difference, in your own way, in this world.

Thanks for a memorable year.

L♥ve,

Ms. Lee

Summer break is finally here. You all made it through the school year and I know you each learned a lot in our class.   Hopefully you picked up some life lessons along the way as well.  This summer, make sure to enjoy yourselves, stay safe and take this time to get ahead a little–whether it’s a job, internship or preparing for the SAT and other big milestones that approach in your JUNIOR year!

Keep in touch and thanks for visiting the site.

L♥ve,

Ms. Lee

PS: enjoy the clip, it’s from an old cartoon called Tiny Toons.
